I had a bad cold a couple days ago. I took plenty of Sudafed and a Megaman pill every 6 hours. Got rid of that b!tch in 3 days after getting it. Magaman rocks!!! Has like 500-1000% of everything, including vitamin C which you need for colds. Always turns my piss a nice flourescent yellow too.

How do you know you have a weak lung?

Most likely you have a weakened immune system.

Weakening of the immune system causes increased susceptibility to virtually every type of illness, colds included. It is estimated that healthy adults in our society have an average of 2 colds a year. Persons having more colds than this are most likely to have some problem with immune function.

The following is a list of products that can be purchased at a health/vitamin store that will build your immune system.

Amino Acids:

L-Lysine.
-fights off viruses, ex. the virus (herpes simplex II) that causes cold sores
-don't take this for more than 6 months at a time.

The next one contains Immunoglobulins that help fight off illness and strengthen the immune system:

Bovine Colostrum.

Essential Fatty acids:

Omega 3, 6, and 9.
-necessary for a healthy immune system.

Herbs that boosts the immune system:

Garlic.
-raw garlic or garlic in a capsule/tablet
-don't take the odorless garlic it has no beneficial effect.

Astralgus (good immune booster).

Echinacea Purpurea.
-don't take this if you have an allergy to ragweed.

Goldenseal.
-don't take this if you have an allergy to ragweed.
-don't take for more than one week at a time

Vitamins/minerals that are helpful:

Vitamin C.

Zinc.
-no more than 90 mg/day.

Having a more nutritious and healthier diet will help also. Eating less sugar/sweets. Don't forget about drinking more water.

No, I don't think you will die from a simple cold. However, you'll always be sick off and on and miserable until you strengthen your immune system.

(women who are pregnant should avoid most herbs)

To prevent and or relieve a cold this is what I typically do:

1. Stay warm with a blankie or a good jacket.
2. Brush my teeth very well.
3. Drink lots of water.
4. Each oranges (i dont take vitamin supplements cuz its in oranges)
5. Keep room temperature level warm, not too warm cuz that'll dry the air.

After you do those, you dont need to take any medicines or go get a flu shot. Personally, I dont take medicines cuz you can be dependent on them later on..you want to build up your immune system so that the germs dont come back and haunt you..

As far as drinking orange juice, if you have a runny nose or coughing up mucous you want to avoid drinking orange juice or eating oranges. This is because oranges causes mucous produced by the body to thicken, thus thickening the runny nose and what you cough up so it takes longer to get out of the body. You should also avoid tomato based products as well as they do the same.

Temperature of the air has nothing to do with the air being dry or moist. Humidity level is how much water is in the air and this should be watched more closely. Keeping the temperature of the room warm is good. Humidity levels should be between 55-70%, anything lower is too little and the sinuses will dry out. So having a humidity detector and humidifier around will help also.

As far as flu shots go it's your choice, but you don't need them.
