Default when to pop a blood blister?

so i have this telescoping snow brush and using it the first time this year, i twist the handle and go to retract it and pinched my finger in it. ouch.

anyway on the very face of my finger (where you would have fingerprints taken) i have a blood blister about 1/8" by 1/4." i did this i think thursday or friday. i want to pop it but i dont want it to keep bleeding all over the place, how many days do you all usually wait before doing so? its starting to get less red and more brownish but still feels liquid-y not coagulated yet.

this push-pin is tempting me

ya i pop them right away and put a band aid on it until the skin where i put a hole in it closes. NEVER RIP THE SKIN OFF! I have several scars on my hands from that...

OK I DID IT I DID IT!!!!!

jess had a bandaid and a little 'benzalkonium chloride antiseptic towlette' for external use.

so i wired off my finger real good, wiped down the push pin because i constantly play with it all day at work and did the deed!!!! plus there was a little regular blister as it got pinched in 2 spots and then i mashed it in a paper towel till they both emptied. then i swabbed it all again and put teh bandaid on. it wasnt brand-name it was only a 'steile adhesive bandage and kinda hard to manage but its done.

thanks for all the support, i owe all my success to the viewing members at hyundaiperformance.com and a big shout out to my kiddy-corner cubicle neighbor jessica. youre all very wonderful people and i probably couldnt have gotten this fare without you.

man im bored. :surprised:

Does your employer do random drug testing?

hahahahahhahahahahahahahaaaaa aranoid: yeah right

if you can spell your name you can be hired here. i know multiple people that dont even have GED's and put down that they graduated high school on the resume and got hired- some for even more $$ than i make hourly. this place is a JOKE!!!

one time at a roundtable the HR lady becky suggested that we do drug screening for newhires and LITERALLY got laughed at by damn near everyone. even the program managers confirmed 'but we would lose half our staff!!!!'

now me on the other hand i did quit doing drugs and have resorted to the only legal drug left that i can think of: nicotine. and DXM i guess but thast only once in a blue moon when i actually get sick (which is pretty rare). if i have a cold ill be on it constantly for a day and be better the next, but honestly i dont touch it unless im really too sick to work (stomach pain, vomiting, headache etc.)

but the other drugs are gone, the only one i ever regularly used anyways was mary jane and alcohol but both are out of my life for good now!! good riddance i say. now im just high on life 8D

blood blisters suck... nastiest one I ever saw was on my own hand. Moving a spot light stand and it collapsed as I had my hand on the collar that keeps the light steady.. blister ran from the nail to almost the thumb on my pointer.. I had to pop it as it swelled up right away and I could not bend the finger...

You got off lucky, Beppo... no more telescoping snow brushes for you?

no, ill still use it because it works great i just have to learn how to be careful. being the first cold snowy day i was just trying to rush and get into the warm(ing) car and being impatient caught me offguard. live and learn. :ermm:

**edit**

heres the culprit too:
http://www.gardeners.com/Shopping/sell.asp?ProdGroupID=19574&DeptPGID=19171&lstCateg ory=19174&image=34%2D713%2Ejpg&flash=

the thing works badass and doenst scratch paint, i like it. plus i take teh short ends and can scrape that muddy winter film off of headlights and taillights and use the long side for what its intended for. one of the best christmas presents i ever got!!!
