Default Weirdness

Ok, I don't know what is going on but I'm getting kinda worried. Lately, I've been having these weird episodes where it's kinda like de ja vu. All of the sudden I'll start having these "visions" of like scenes playing out in my head. When I am seeing them, I kinda go into a trance, I mean, Im still concious and aware of my surroundings, but my main focus is on what's playing out in my mind. I don't know what they are, it could be memories, something I've seen on TV, or maybe parts of dreams I've had (I'm pretty sure it's the latter) but either way it's like de ja vu, I feel like I've either thought about it before, or lived through what I'm envisioning, or seen it before. And as it's happening it all makes sense, I'm not thinking "what the hell is going on," Im thinking "yes, I remember that, I know that." Each time it only lasts maybe 30 seconds to a minute tops. When the vision fades, I feel very nauseus, dizzy, light headed, and like Im gonna puke. One time I needed to lie down for a couple minutes. It's very disorienting and confusing. It's like the lines between a subconcious non reality and concious reality are blurring. This has happened 5 times so far, and just started I think last Tuesday or Wednesday. I try to remember what I see in the vision, but I really can't, it doesn't make sense. But each vision I see similar or the same things as the others, maybe in a different sequence or from a different point of view or perspective. Today it happened twice, and I felt very confused and couldn't focus very well for most of the day.

Have you ever heard or seen anything like this before, Doc? What could it be?

Never heard of it.. get more sleep.

I however.. i get that de ja vu thing at least 15 times EACH day. Like seeing the future you know? Ill just see something and ill know what happens next. Bothersome yes but i just ignore it for the most part. Does that sound freaky kinda? I tried to see a shrink (cant spell the real word) and they wouldnt see me cause they didnt believe me at all. That was a few years ago. Maybe since im no longer a teenager someone will believe me.

Or maybe i can train my powers for good and fight evil!! muahahahha!!!

No.. seriously, some days it really friggin bugs me....

Sorry for a half highjack, your post reminded me of wanting to ask doc about me issues too...

Sounds like self-mesmerism. This is SORTA how it feels when you're hypnotized. You are aware that others think something is not normal, but it seems perfectly rational to you. 'Course I've never been hypnotized or I wouldn't qualify for Top Secret clearance...

This is exactly how I used to feel when my dreams would come true. As a child it happened alot more, because I'd remember my dreams when I woke up and tell people. Days or weeks later it would come true. Now as I'm older, I remember my dreams less often, and when they come true, it's months or years after the dream.

This part concerns me. Take care of yourself. Use less substances.

This also sounds like putting dreams into different sequences, remembering dreams when they come true, or dreaming the same thing several times in one night or several nights in a row. Perfectly normal...for me that is.

Haven't seen something like you are describing before. I've experienced De Ja Vu before, but certainly nothing as you're describing.

Have you been under alot of stress lately? That could be causing some of the things you are experiencing. If it continues time to get in to see your physician.

That's crazy, sounds vert similar to what Ive been experiencing.

Yeah I have been stressed lately but this past week was a lot less stressful than the previous weeks. So I dunno, I'll see if it happens again and go from there I guess. Thanks doc and guys.

She drinks a LOT of sugary drinks and doesn't expend that energy... also I believe it to be due to stress. Call it a hunch but when we argue about something (sometimes vigorously) something like this happens shortly afterwards. We just gotta find a better way to express our concerns... without yelling.

You better stop that sugar intake or you'll get diabetes. You'll have to take needles EVERY DAY!

Is there a consistent mood to these visions or are they random? Do these visions seem to appear in your mind as thoughts or in front of you as if they are happening?

At times I sleep very little and I always have a lot of caffiene throughout the day but I've never experienced anything beyond minor deja vu.

Actually now that I think about it, towards the end of the day sometimes when the caffiene is running out (hence low blood sugar) I get this light headed feeling like I'm going to pass out. It lasts for about 30 seconds, same as you mention. The feeling is the same as when I go to the doctor and I'm going to get a shot, or when I sustain an injury and I look at it and know it's about to bleed. Like Jed reccomended I would stay away from sugary drinks, I have completely stopped with them and it has stabalized my weight and I feel less of a hit at the end of the day when I stop drinking the stuff.

I've tried going cold turkey on caffiene but it has kicked the **** out of me. I'm going to be drinking coffee till the day I die. Switching from regular soda to diet soda has been easy for me though, and now the regular stuff tastes nasty and syrupy.

I didn't mention stress as a factor because EVERYBODY has stress, it's all about how we deal with it and how we treat our bodies.
