Default STD testing

ok well the short of the story is that I was with one of my ex girlfriends recently when I went back to NY and since then she got tested. she said it was called 'vaginal bacteriosis' just some bacteria thing but apparently women get the symptoms and guys just carry it, but if left untreated it can cause discomfort and scar tissue in the urethra (if anyone can verify this please inform me because I am going on what she told me that was told to her by the doctor.)anyway they do free STD testing (and treatment) up in NY all over the place but I can't seem to find anywhere here in florida that offers anything like that. I contacted orange county health services and that test alone costs 37 dollars which isn't bad, but they said that they only test for those big ones like chlomidia, ghonorrea, syphallus, etc. so I'm afraid that this bacterial thing won't show up. they said that the only thing to do is go to a physician but I don't have health insurance for another month and a half and I don't want scar tissue in my pecker. does anyone know of other clinics or organizations that I can utilize for something like this??? any help is greatly appreciated.
