Hello, i work inside a correctional facility and we are more prone to tuberculosis, As of right now I'm currently taking Isoniazid, and I'm just wondering how bad is tuberculosis?? I hear a lot of talk about it, but it just comes out to be a "bacteria". Also, how many people really have tuberculosis??? Is there anyway to really get rid of it or is it with you for the rest of your life????

Yes, it's a bacteria. Treatment is 6 months - 12 months. For the drug you're on it's for treating people that might have it. Treatments will be for 6 - 9 months. See below for further info.
