Default Ouch!!!

Im really hoping someone can help me answer this question!

Last nite I was working on a wordfind and my right wrist (the one I write with) started getting this dull, sharp, stabbing pain right around the wrist area all the way around the entire wrist...so I called my dad and all he could tell me is that it was possibly just my hand cramping! So I took some ibuprofren anyways even though the pain comes and goes it just doesnt stay and its very sporadic (sp??) and than I wrapped it in an ace bandage for the night and up until about 10am this morning...I took it off cuz it hadn't hurt in awhile well now its doing it again!

I was informed by a coworker that its not carpletunnel syndrome cuz that is more a tingly, asleep feeling not a dull sharp pain! I have a little background history if that helps, my mom has been diagnosed with Lupus (the kind where she gets really bad joint pains) she does take medication for it and she has suggested that I go see my doctor because I have started to experience some pains in my joints as well! I keep putting it off cuz I just figured it was the cold weather, since thats when it seems to act up the most!

Can anyone please help me, its extremely painful and it effects my job cause I write and type on a daily basis! Should I just suck it up and go see my doctor? Even if its not bothering me at the time that I go? It doesnt really seem to be effected by any certain movements or actions it just hurts whenever it feels like it!

Thanks!!

Time to get the wrist looked at as well as blood work to rule out Lupis.

Well looks like Im gonna be getting a drs. appointment! I have achy joints and I lose quite a bit of hair especially after I wash it or if Im under stress but its more than the normal amount and not to mention my mom has Raynauds and I have started to notice it a lil more in my fingers when they get really cold I wear gloves all the time! LOL!!

It doesnt look too serious though...I havent had any problems with blood clots or painful breathing so it looks like my moms kind!

I do have another question...I get really blotchy skin and red cheeks similar to the butterflying when I get hot...is this different than what your talking about...I just thought it was a heat rash? But looks like Im gonna call my dr today!
