I finally got a place to do the swap and I think we'll start it tomorrow or saturday! Now all I need is to get more info on the tranny part of my swap. The guy helping me has only worked on oldies. His model T does high 12's and he does all his own work so I'm prolly in good hands.

I forgot to tell you that I did the auto to 5speed swap on my 97 red and white shogun Tib. that was at NOPI this pass Sept. After sitting in your car and talking with you at NOPI Nationals I had to do it. The best part is that me and a buddy of my did ALL the work and we're not even mechanics AND I only spent just over 940.00 bucks

I'll help you anyway I can. As of now I'm getting ALL my info. together to do a write up, but for now ask me any question you got and i'll try to answer it the best way I can. Then hopefully at the end you'll be like me shifting with the big boys:smoking:

Hell yeah, thanx bro. I'm gonna start tomorrow. I did my brake swap from captive to non captive rotors earlier tonight and now my 17's sit nice and flush. Now on to the engine swap. I just got a hoist and a balancer that I can borrow for a couple of weeks so any other tools you would recommend?

Yes, a big help to me in my tranny swap was air tools. They saved alot of time for me and double check that you have EVERYTHING you need because trust me it sucks to start a swap and find out halfway though that your missing something. I could have shaved off a day if I did that.
