Well to start any other tools besides air compressor tools (granted I can get those as well so you might as well list what you used). I just started taking a couple things off today. But when I did the brake swap I had to go borrow tools from 2 different neighboors like 4 different times.:ermm:

I really only used basic tools, BUT the only two tools I needed to get was a grinding bit to add to your air tools. Because when you put in the cables for the shifter you will have to make the hole bigger, for the master cylinder and clutch pedal you will have to MAKE the holes, but hyundai has ALL tin plates and mounts already there for you so there's no guessing on where things go EXCEPT for the tranny mount holes. The second tool is that you need a very long socket extention for mounting the cables to the firewall. one tip for you, put a piece of masking tape at each end of one of the cables so you know what cable goes to what. got more questions post them good luck :

Hey where do I cut the hole in the fire wall??? I'm all ready to do the cutting cause I'm switching my ECU to a second gen which means the whole wiring for the car engine to tail lights is gutted. Where do I cut and then what I'll drop the engine and trans in together this weekendX)

if you look at your fire wall from the inside, you should see where the cutting needs to be done, the fire wall is 2 layers and the inside one is universal with the holes for the 5 speed precut, so you just have to use that as a guide to cut through the out side area for the clutch pedal and shifter cable

I just looked and I'm completely oblivious as to where I need to cut. Got pictures??? I'll take a snap of my fire wall in a minute and maybe you guys could just circle the area so I know where to cut into the padding. That Grey pad is blocking my view and I dont want to rip it out just to see the hole, or do I have to???

Where your auto cables where there is all ready a hole you just have to make it bigger put yor car on a lift to get it better. For the master cylinder theres a tin plate and a mount already there to show you where to cut and mount you see that from under the hood. The clutch there is a tin plate that you'll see if you pin your head under your dash because that one is up there and a stud you have to shave to make a flush mount :

To get a better idea of where I'm at just check this out. P.S. I cant think anymore cause I'm so mentally and physically burnt out on this sh!t so it may be best for you to explain things like you're talking to a 10 year old.

The auto shifter base and the manual shifter base DO NOT match the back two holes do but not the front two. what I did was bolt the back two like normal and the front two we made threaded holes in the car and bolted the front of the base down. Really made just made my own holes.

I'm not sure on the hole ecu thing, if i need a manual ECU or if I can just keep my auto ECU:hmmm:
