Okay, I am seriously considering doing this conversion on my 2003 Tiburon with the V6.

Shadohh has said he would do the labor for me for a sum of money, but finding the parts is my job. The problem is, I don't know what exactly I would need.

Can anyone give me a list of parts I will need so when the time comes to swap everything out, we don't come up short?

Also, I plan to get a Stage 2 clutch from Key Motorsports instead of the stock one. That's okay, right? Also, I heard that it's recommended you get motor mounts with the new clutch because the aftermarket clutch will "rock the motor like crazy". Now, I admit that I don't know much about transmissions and engines, but is this a true statement? I can't find the correlation between the clutch and how much your engine vibrates.

Anyway, thanks to everyone in advance!

OK, to all you guys doing this swap =[READ THIS]=
All you have to do is do a search for used auto parts and a crap load of junkyards come up. Some sites that even come up, they lets you type in what you want and it will go out to 1,000's of yards all over the US. The places that have your parts will e-mail you back, some may say they have the parts and some may say they have a COMPLETE system to do a swap. That is what I did when I made my 97' Tib. to a 5-speed LION:evil: Don't jump on the first yard because another may give you a better price. Make sure you check your area yards first to save on shipping: The swap is NOT hard to do yourself just take your time and make sure you have all parts when I mean all parts I mean STRESS IT TO THE GUY YOU TALK TO, that you want ALL THE PARTS so you don't have to wait for them(I didn't need a parts list after doing that). If you spend over $1,000 at the end of your project you spent way to much for auto to 5-speed swap sorry but you did:cry: Also make sure you ask the yard your dealing with if they have any coupons or just go on their web site and look for them cause they may not tell you: I got $25 off for my trans with a coupon:smoking: MOST yards you can even wheel'n'deal on price with them like I did8D I'll be a nice guy (since that is what HP Forums is all about) so here's the site that sends out your request to 1,000's of yards www.uautoparts.com you can also search yourself on www.car-parts.com I'm back form vaca. so if you have questions post them I'll try my best to help you.

I hope you this helps alot of you with that crazy H on your car8D Dam, it feels good to have a Hyundai  LOL.

So what's the count on people with this swap done. We should get together in a thread and compare notes on sticky spots and how to get past them. I know if there is a thread like that made stick it will help TONS of peeps wanted to do this that are too scared to try. What you guys think. OH and who has CELs and who doesn't. I dont. my only CEL is the rear O2 sensor that I have to fix today. All the Gen 2 stuff runs clean as hell in the 97, even the emissions sh!t.

Lets make a sick ass thread for all the brave hyundai owners, hehe

It will pass, but you will need to get a exemption probably.

Like if you do a entire enigne swap, you need an exemption.
