The only thing with the REV A that I was talking about, is if you switch gens, like dump a 2nd gen engine/tranny, AND harness, then you have to drop the fuel tank, new lines, and rip out the old charcoal canister, then put the newer emissions equipment in there, just so you pass smog. Basically= stupid amount of work.

dam good job, i did the same swap to my sonata that i use to have, the only hard part was the clutch master cylinder. other then that it work with no problems. i sold the car and it is still running 8D

we did this swap on a beta powered elantra 98'.... we had the same shifter problem as well.. you have to drill new holes to bolt it down... but man... that car ripped when we got it done!!... it chirped 3rd gear and was really fun

and yes.. you hafta swap all the wiring... its not fun

hi guys i recently swap my 99 elantra to manual trany , so i baught a 97 elantra wagon standart i took all the parts on it to fit fit on my elantra but i wonder to you guy have to change the starter, not the same and a took the motor suport trany side from the 97 wagon was not the same tha mine but fit well in my body
