ok here is the deal. i recently came into a Beta II engine very inexpensively. i have a 95 accent, and am planning to swap it into it, i weill also be doing a AT to Mt swap at the same time. i know the beta II engines are MAP driven as opposed to MAF. i was woindering if i kept my accent ecu and piggybacked it, could the engine run if i just continued using the maf and iat sensors from my alpha engine, and left the MAP sensor in to keep vacuum. also i know the axles from a tib need to be shortened but do the need to be shortened to stock accent size or are they slightly different?

I made my swap by myself... Beta II Elantra 2002 in my 2000 Accent. Kept the accent tranny. I've modified the engine mounts, used the 2.0L engine mount of the passenger side... Shortened only 1 axle. I used a Stage 1 Accent cutch kit and made it fit on a modified and lightened 2.0L flywheel. I used the Accent wiring harness and modified it to fit the 2.0L ECM and sensors... 6000 km later and still going strong.

Total cost: 1500-1600$ can (about 1100-1200 USD)

Hello all, Noob here asking a question. Ive been reading alot about teh 2.0 beta swap. and i am very interested in convwerting a 95-99 accent to a 2.0 map sensor setup. Would this be anymore hassle than wiring a the standard beta swap. Also does the supercharges sold for the 2.0l have enough clearance in the engine bay or are they just not gonna fit. I dont own an accent yet but in a few weeks if the info i get is pleasing to me i will be buying one and perfoming a beta swap befor winter hits. Sob part of my story is i was going to be the proud owner of a 04 srt-4 in less than 3 weeks but I got an appartment and now i dont wanna get it cause it wil make finances tight sob sb but i recover fast and im really excited about gettting into an accent. My previous niche in the auto world was racing geo metros. I have a 91 metro convertible 1.0l 3 cyl. turbo that was running low 15s but after my inexperiance led to teh scond engine failure i quit and well the reast is history. Sorry strayed from the topic yea so any and al answeres are appreciated.

a 93-95 scoupe turbo clutch kit is needed as far as ive been told to bolt up the accent tranny to the beta motor, i think dude me and u should both do the project together, it might make it alot more easier, i know most of the details of what parts are required in the swap, just dont have the tools to do it myself
