We got my 2.0 from a 2000 tiburon in my accent by squeezing it in . The passager side is not a headache it goes right in (you willl need the mount from the tiburon ) We used the accent tranny for the swap in which you need the tiburon flywheel and a 95 scoupe turbo clutch. The drivers side is the bitch it will go in but you have to squeeze it in there and I mean queeze > It took us like and hour to put the eninge in the bay becuase of the drivers side. Weve got it fired up now but the inside wiring has to be finished since I was a dumbass and took out all the wiring.

Were you able to retain the AC. Is this you're daily driver ? How does it drive and handle with the heavier engine? Also what did you do for an exhaust?

the scoupe has the older sohc engine instead of the new doch. I am not sure about engine mounts but i have a feeling the swap can be done. You have got to love the generic stuff the hyundai make. It just makes life so easy.

Hello,

I currently own a 2003 Tiburon v6 and my wife owns a 1998 Accent 1.5. I am selling the Tiburon in lieu of doing a beta swap on the Accent. The Tiburon is heavily modified and it is a fast car, but it has been very expensive and I truly prefer smaller cars.

I have been able to find a great deal on the beta swap project, but not very many pictures or detailed explanations regarding shortening the shafts or the location of the mounts. I know some of you are doing swaps as I write. This request goes out to you guys.

Could you please post some detailed information regarding the details of the swap process?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

FC

Hi im rebuilding my 96 accent cuz shes plagued with about 200,000 miles im going to submit the engine to the smithsonian, but i was interested in this beta swap preferably with a 2.0 tiburon engine. i want to keep the trann she was replaced 50k miles ago. what kind of parts am i going to have to replace to fit the new engine besides the ecu, and custom motor mounts, if anyone could tell me that'd be alot of help???

im' interested in the whole Beta swap except mines an 04. Would an 00-04 Elantra Engine work in there? Also would it be benificial for me to swap just the tranny? Lets say swap the old 04 Accent 5 speed to a 6 speed Tib?
