Hello,

I currently own a 2003 Tiburon v6 and my wife owns a 1998 Accent 1.5. I am selling the Tiburon in lieu of doing a beta swap on the Accent. The Tiburon is heavily modified and it is a fast car, but it has been very expensive and I truly prefer smaller cars.

I have been able to find a great deal on the beta swap project, but not very many pictures or detailed explanations regarding shortening the shafts or the location of the mounts. I know some of you are doing swaps as I write. This request goes out to you guys.

Could you please post some detailed information regarding the details of the swap process?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

FC

I second that motion! i plan to do the swap myself and in particular i wish to know what was done with the front engine mount (pully side) , because from what i can gather the motor sits closer to the chasiss rail and looking at my mount it is a cast one ... Does this mean I will need to custom fab one? photos would be much much muchly apreciated thankyou.

I have been looking though posts and some of the people that are saying only the passenger side mount needs to be fabed actually have photos. Im not saying your wrong because i haven't done it myself (but in the process) but throw some photos in and say " see dummies this is the way its done".

Im in the process of doing a swap, I got a 1.8L DOCH im rebuilding (since i have it out of the car) and an ecu on the way. From reading post these are the two definite things i need. As for a tranny id like to know if i can keep my tranny, being a little strapped for cash i want to keep it until my tranny craps out on me.

PS: Im documenting everything i do and making a site that will be up most likely middle july 07. My opinion is the more accents kicking civic *** the better.

I am going to be using 2.0, 1.5 tranny and have 2.0 ECU. I believe 1.5 may run sluggish from all the posts I have read on this. This grocery list needs updated since the swap turned out to be simpler than thought to be back then and eliminate some confusion.
