It would be hilariously funny if someone tried to put an m3 motor into an accent or tiburon, but once they succeeded it would be sweet @$$. I don't know....just randomness from my frustration with trying to get my 03 accent up to 170-190 hp. Not finding much.

If You were going to have a car payment AND fork out the money for a swap.Wouldn't it be easier to buy a quicker car that was more realistic to soup-up than try to tune an econobox? By the time you paid enough $$$ to get the m3 motor in an 03 anything, you could buy a first gen m3 or 325es even AND have a sylish econmic car to hook up for looks.I used to have one,They are pretty sweet in 2dr 5-sp trim,And respond well to nitrous with factory forged pistons.....Food for thought.:

for those that actually put out decent info thank you very much i was wondering if i could fit the 2.0 from an elantra into my 02' accent and thanks for telling me it could be done. i am now a happy man. no more bolt ons for now. i have a bud that just totalled his new elantra but the engine and tranny are undamaged and we are trying to pry it off the car before the insurance company scraps it. if anyone has done that with a totalled car before i could use some tips on dealing with the insurance company.

Hey...im back because for a senior project im probably gonna be doin either a beta into alpha or use an older elantra and swap in the 2.0 mitsu motor. So anyways, ive been reading this entire post all over again, and i was wondering. Could i swap the 2.0 4g63t into a 94 elantra? And im assuming that there would be some changing or modding of the gear box to handle this power....or can i safely use the stock gearbox from the elantra. Thanks guys

hey guys new here to hyundai but an old dsmer i have a 90 excel 4dr looking at sticking my old engine out of my TSI in saw the picks and hunted down the article about Billy Rubio's which is the same model as mine so i know it can be done fairly easy but just not sure about specifics. any help here would be great guys thanks.First off the article quoted RRE as saying they used the GVR4 trany ? awd tranny?. Second had to mod front mount ? how bad a mod other than that looks like it would basicly drop right in and do stock 1g DSM axles work ? Thanks for your help guys
