There should be everything that is needed on the site with lots of pictures(i have full size pics on my comp if anyone wants bigger ones). If anyone has any question or anything they think i should add please email me.

spikie... have you noted a decrease on fuel consumption since you did the auto to manual transmission swap?

The question comes because I own an Accent 99 with auto transmission and it only runs 5 miles every liter, that would be 19 miles per gallon (considering a gallon = 3.8 litres).
Fuel is really expensive in Argentina these days, so iīm seriously considering a swap.

Thanks in advance.

no...thats bad...

it sounds like you have a engine problem.

you should be getting ALOT more fuel economy.

but other then that, technically the fuel economy is the same with the 5spd, since with it, yuou keep it in gear and keep the rpms higher for the power.

yeapp really bad...

when i got my car (3 years ago) and noticed this excessive fuel consumption, I sent it to a Hyundai tech center, but they told me that it hadnīt any problems

Since that time, fuel economy hasnīt improved.

The problem is that here in Argentina, there are few accents, and fewer with auto transmision, so I couldnīt check with any other accent owner about his experience. By that time i began to think of my problem as a common thing.

But now that iīve seen some comments on your experiences, iīm begining to re-think my early conclusions.
Iīm definitely not an expert on this matter, so I require your help in order to discard possibilities.

Thanks
Agustin

i noticed a huge difference after the swap but that was because my auto tranny was fvcked and i was getting 300 km's per tank.. after the swap i'm gettin approx 400... which isn't that bad but prolly would get more if i had a maf sensor.. :dead:

but there has to something really wrong with it to get that bad milage... any problems with the tranny??? check the o2 sensor maybe...
