Default Has anybody swap'ed a 4G92 1.6-liter l-4 DOHC MIVEC into an Elantra?

I'm sure the variable valve timing could be controlled by a Super V-AFC.

Any thoughts?

Spec are 175hp....

There are a couple of early model Elantras for sale for about $1,000 - 5spd...

So that would be the car it would go into...

Thanks

Well first off, I don't know how easy a swap it would be any Elantra but there are huge differences in the Elantra models.

So what is the range of years you are looking at? (1991-1995 or 1996 and newer)

By early model, I looking strictly early 90's

I believe '92-'95 model year with the Mitsubishi engines...

My guess it would be a "slam dunk" as it's the pretty much the same engine save for the variable length intake manifold and variable valve timing which could lead to some ECU issues during the swap and on top of it all, being illegal as swaps go in California.

Doing a 4G63t swap sounds about as easy, but cost a bit more and I'm not sure I have the "space" to work with in swaping basically a whole front clip from a DSM to a Elantra.

Again, suggestions are welcome...
