Does that swap of 4g63t is a direct bolt on to the 90-94 excels no matter if its turbo or not?:hmmm::hmmm::hmmm:

With money anything is possible. Hmm a v6 sonata engine in an accent. Why not. Mind you it wasnt where you think it would be. It was sitting in a custom frame in the back. Rarely is there such a thing as a direct bolt in. Always going to be something that you need to do to make it work.

well what i wanted to know is if the motor mounts line up, you know if that could be possible. I have seen the two next to each other and it seems like it could work. but all io wantd to know is if ther is anyone that has more knowledge than i within reason, about this. also i am liking the 4g63 swap but a 3.0 v6 boosted is better to me than the inline 4 banger don't get me wrong the 4 banger kicks butt believe me i have one. but i think the excrel with a v6 would be better. right, lol

Okay as you have an earlier model Hyundai there are some clever people at this site that have done a lot of things to x1s and x2s. Its monitored by RPW. http://www.mogwa.org/forum/phpBB2/index.php
If you want to search for some info thats been posted here is the old board which may prove more useful.http://rpw.community.everyone.net/co...s/directory.pl

Not all V6s are better then 4 bangers (boosted or not).

I still say the best engine to swap in is a 4g63T. It is capable of gobs of power, easily modded, tons of aftermarket support, and probably a little lighter which is very important to handling. Not to mention, it will be easier and probably cheaper to swap in especially if you plan on turboing the V6.
