Default 97 Tiburon Engine Swap. Im sure this has already Been asked

What engines can be swaped into a 97 tib. im assuming the 4Gv63ti but is there any others as well. at least a model or name of engine would help me out greatly. I was leaning towards turbo but i live in arizona and Cooling the air would be a real hard thing to do out here when its 120 degress. So supercharged will serfice. that and supercharge provides boost threwout the whole rpm band. Thanks alot .

You already have the best engine that is a direct swap without serious modifications. Your best bet is to turbo that motor.

What about internals then. high compression pistons. cam shaft yada yada yada. this way i dont go blowing up my engine. also what is a good but safe psi and get the most hp gain.

Do you have the 2.0 or the 1.8 engine?

4G63 swap? It has been done already. And it ain't easy. Why not just slap in a v8 or v6 in there? It would take the same effort, time, ang cash to acheive.
