Tranny swap...

OK, i asked this a long time ago, but never got word back. Is it possible to swap the accent tranny for either the 1.8L or 2.0L Beta tranny from the elantra/tiburon?

There are many more parts available for this transmision, and reason says it should be stronger as well. I mean the Beta motor hooks up to the accent tranny, shouldn't the beta tranny hook up to the alpha block? Andy Ross, I'm looking in your direction...

It's possible, but your car would be even slower until you got up to the 140hp range due to the wacked out gear ratios.

Well, the plan is 200+whp so I should be aight in that respect. I was more worried about it fitting, unless the accent tranny can handle it without much fuss.
