ok, so with a stock LC2 (the 03 accents are LC2s unless i'm too tired... right?) best bet on the swap is the beta2 engine, then piggyback the ecu from the accent onto one from a beta1 ?

and how easy is it to switch over from an auto tranny to a 5speed?

i just got an oportunity to get a 01 tib for parts so i can do the swap but i am nowhere near close to being a mechanic, a bodyman yes but i always take a care to a shopp unless its basic maintenance. my question is this, anyone possible live aorund the indiana area that might be interested in making some cash helping me out with it so i can learn some new things. i know i could take it to a performance shop and have them do it and pay out the a** for it but i would like to be able to get my hands dirty as well cause thats the only way i am gonna learn. i'll try to keep on on this post or you can email me at nyhuise_wr@hotmail.com

I have a 1998 Accent SOHC 16V 1.5L. It runs good but needs alot more power, the swap sounds easy but i guess what i need to know is what would be the fastest most efficient engine to put in my car?

i move the trans 1 inch to driver side to increase pulley clearance.i made the bracket that goes to the cilinder block and use the accent mount.for axles use scoupe 93-95 axle lh side for lh side in the accent and rh axle from elantra or tiburon.both axle are 23splines.will hold a ton more.accents are 22 splines.99 elantras are 25splines.

saludos.

i've heard so many times that the kia sephia ECU fit the accent ECU harness. BUT, i've never tried it. try to look one on caguas junkers, look for the sephia or sportage ECU.

GOOD LUCK
