Luiggi: Yes you can use the stock axles on the tranny, try to get the beta II tranny, that one bolts right up to your stock motor mounts :

i recently acquired a beta 2 engine really cheap. what is this engine immobilizer thing, and how does it work? also if i use my MAF and IAT can i just leave the MAP in the manifold and not plug it in. wil the engine start?

sorry just found the thread on it. if i stick with my accent ecu and piggyback it, i avoid the engine immobilizer problems, correct?

well heres the deal with the piggi back, it is cheaper to just buy the ecm, and harness from a Beta I and use that. And the accent harness has different type of connectors for the sensors (knock sensor, ckp sensor and so on), if you need help with the wiring let me know

as far as the axles, did you ever think of putting the Tiburon inner CV joints on the Accent axles?

Yes i did actually, and actually the beta II elantra inner cv joints should hook up but they would not sell me the item by itself and I did not want to pay for two axles.

Mad gsi: How did you shorten the axles, I want to buy some tib axles and shorten them when i get my supercharger put in which should be soon also

ok so bizarre what year is the beta 11 tranny?????? theres no mods to do to my stock axles to fit the beta tranny?????? And why would you want some tib axles? do you think the hp wont hold too long the axles????? Sorry for so many questions but i want to do my swap without problems. Please let me know the thing of the axles my stock axles and why would you use the tibby ones THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the beta II tranny is found in the 01+ elantra, 03+tib. Your stock axles should be fine as long as you do basic bolt ons (header, intake, bbtb, ect ect.) But im goint to eventually supercharge it, so I wouldnt trust the accent sticks with that much power
