The eclipse is LHD and has the 4g63 Engine in it ... I used the Eclipse engine in my RHD and there was no problem ... The only thing it really affects is where the ECU is mounted .... Mine is now mounted on the Left side, instead of the right side... But that is no big difference....

Wow guys this is cool... I didn't know this was the place to post questions inregards to the 4G63t swap. I too was inspired by Rudy's car and you guessed it, my 1992 hyundai excel is undergoing it's swap right now as we chat. Took it in yesterday and crused by today and these guys had already ripped out the old engine, I tell you these guys were more excited than myself to get this underway. I got to say, it was the best feeling seeing more than a dozen guys there just trying to grasp what was being done with that car. These guys are DSMTuners and hooked me up with the price as long as I rolled with them as they say, LOL. $3200.00 was my price to include everything that could come off the Eclipse front clip we purchase. I am new here and would like to post pics but don't know how, if someone could guide me that would be nice, I would really like to share my experiance with you all. imazero
were did you get that engine cover? That is something I would like to get my hands on.

P.S. I read someone asking for Ruby, does he chat in here?

I'm new to the site, I've just forgot to register.
I have a 1994 Hyundai Excel. The car was free. I bought a 1990 Plymouth Laser turbo FWD for $600. And we cut the stock 1.5 driver side mount, and swapped the mounting brackets from the 1.5 onto the 4G63. I'm still in the process of wiring. I've just swapped the whole harness from the Laser, and we're going to custom wire the tail lights and headlights to get it to work. The stock axles fit, and all I'm going to do is hook up a honda radiator and it will be ready for the track. I've taken out the dash and most interior for weight reduction, as as soon as I can afford it autometer cluster, right now i"m just rocking the one from the laser. I'm also going to have a sheet metal dash. So it's going to be setup as drag car only pretty much. And I'll rock this setup until I can afford a built motor and stand alone. Then I'm shooting for 700hp, with a 150 shot.

Hi all,

I just finished a 4G61T swap into my 1995 hyundai elantra and it went very well. First of all, I did the swap myself using any and everything from my CA18DET swaps into my nissan sentras. I used a 1994 Hyundai Elantra's wiring harness because the plug fits into the 1g eclipse turbo ecu. The 92-93 harnesses fit as well, but since my car is a 95, I thought it would be wiser to use the 94's harness. I used all mounts from my Elantra, an ecu from a 1990 eclipse, and eclipse side mount intercooler, eclipse 450cc injectors, an eclipse turbo MAF, some old piping from my nissan engines, and of course the JDM 4G61T and tranny. Car runs nice, still have a/c and even use the stock eclipse's down pipe. I plan on keeping it pretty much stock because I have 400+whp sentras that require that I use for track fun.

I own a Series 2 S-Coupe 1.5L Alpha. I know the Series 1 S-Coupes had a 1.5L Orion... Which is practically a direct bolt in for the 4g63t.

I have looked under the hoods of a 1992 Orion Powered S-Coupe, and my 1993 Alpha Powered S-Coupe, i cant really tell too many subframe differences, and a friend has a whole donor talon as well as the orions tranny (5-Speed) and orion motor mounts fo the tranny. Can it be done???
