Elantra 1.5 Turbo?
oops- just realized i posted in the hybrid forum. reposted in forced induction section.
Hey guys, just signed up. I live in korea (army) and i thought i'd turbo my elantra. something to do i guess. the idea is to do it as cheaply as possible. ie, shortcuts everywhere i can. frankly, the car is a piece of crap, and i'm leaving it here when i leave anyways, so you get the idea. its an 89, and from what i can gather, it has a SOHC 1.5 (G4DJ i think- not positive). no idea if its 8V or 12V. does anybody know what the difference is, if any, between my engine and the scoupe turbo's (G4EK, right?)? if its at least the same head, can i use the turbo scoupe manifold? how bout the head gasket?
btw, the plan is 5-8 psi from an eclipse t25.
any info would be greatly appreciated. thanx guys
