Default Beta Swap beginnings

Ok heres the deal. I have a line on 2 hyundai elantra motors ones an 01 the other is an 02. The 01 has 1 thousand miles on it and has been sitting for 17 months and cost about 395. And the 02 has 22K miles and has been sitting for 54 days and costs about 345. I am concerned with it having had set so long. I am wondering if i should be. Both motors come with a 1 year warranty so it should be an issue i just dont. Wanna have to dick around changing my motor. SO which one should i get. or should i get both and build one j/k

I'd grab the 02, your planning to replace all belts and gaskets, etc. anyway correct? 17 months is a long time and who knows where it was stored, possibly outside whatever. The 02 would be my choice, cheaper too.:

I just talked to my dad and according to the junkyard the engine has been stored inside the car. He suggested taking the 01 motor. I have about a month till i decide anyways it seems to me the 01 might be the choice. If it has been sitting in the car. I dont think it should hurt it at all I dont know though its only 21k miles difference. Andd witha 1 year unlimited mileage warranty wonder if it covers forced induction systems
If the motor is in the car and has been so i will investigate both closely mabey i will purchase both and make a second beta kit for my friend in maine Or my other friend in dover. We shall see mabey i can get a package deal like 600 for both ahh to dream. WEll my friend from maine should let me know if he is interested wish me luck as i will be sourcing more parts and hopefully beta will be up and running sub 2 month time frame

Are you getting the starter too? If so check it, more then likely it will have a flat spot. Other then that I don't see it being too much of a problem.
