Default Beta Swap???

Found a '02 elantra engine for sale, will this work on my 99 Accent?? Also the engine orginally had an automatic transmission, but my car is manual and I want get the swap done with a manual transmission. Does that matter if it is an automatic. All I have to do is get a manual transmission right?

as far as on 02' elantra engine: that is a Beta2 engine which is a lot more complicated to have put in than a Beta1 engine which is elantra tiburon (96-2000)
other questions i'm not sure..:ermm:

Don't forget about the SMARTA problem that I think 2001-2003 betas are armed with. (I'm no professional in this area so I could be wrong )That's why i'm staying the hell away from those years! stick to a 99 or higher elantra/tibby (for IM issues if Canada has any) IMHO. : (that's just my $.02)
