what year is easier to do a beta swap?

Im in dilema of buying a 97 or 99 accent, i just want to know which is easier,
eg... wirings, mounts, etc? any help please thank you.

year realy doesnt make that much of a difference. its the motor you choose to put in it... maf or map based is what makes or breaks the swap.

a 97 and a 99 are basically the exact same anyway. you'll want a beta 1 maf with either from the 96-00 elantra or 97-01 tib.

since your looking at an older accent, you should get one with the DOHC engine. Spikie said the beta ECM plugs into the accent harness.
