Default question for beta LC buys runnin with beta ecu's..

i know that some member's have swapped beta accent's with the beta ecm in it..

do you have strong torque when you start from either first or 2nd?

beta accent's running on the alpha ecm have literally no torque in the low range's..even worse with a/c on..

and I think Doug "wytch" is right..

a stock 2002 or any model XD elantra with a manual will snap 0-60 in 8.5 seconds..

my beta LC will hit 60 from a standstill in about 9.9 or 10 seconds..which is with the 195/55/R15 tires on my 15inch steelies..

I just might get the SFR adapter kit..

$280 for guaranteed power seems better that a header, pulley, and lighter rim's combined..

sounds like you just need to learn how to drive. i could do 0-60 in 10 seconds with the alpha. either that or reset your ecm every once in a while. i reset mine about every 3rd tank of gas.

my 0-60 time was without dumping the clutch..

it was from a standstill..i release the clutch just enough to get the car moving and after that, i floor it..

isn't this how all tester test cars?

i do know how to drive
i can shift quick and time my shifts..like any driver with a manual..

I just strongly believe these steelies are slowing me down..

well i strongly believe you are full of crap. my 16" rages weigh more than my stock wheels.

and no that is not how testers test 0-60. the point of measuring 0-60 is to get there as fast as freakin possible. and that usually includes spinning the tires

this is why 0-60 times are almost always faster than 15-60 times

Its either Car and Driver or Motor Trend that wont spin the tires during testing. Thats what he is talking about.

what!!??..no wonder you've been blowing output shaft's and clutches..

my 15 inch civic steelie weigh 22 pounds each..
my stock 13 inch steelie weighs 15 pounds..
a 1999 honda civic si wheel weighs 13 pounds
a konig minuz..10 pounds
03-accent-03's RAY's engineering wheels..8.8 pounds

dang...if that's the way tester's have been testing..i'm an idiot.

i'm so getting that SFR adapter kit..

i wanna see you and doug run again....
ben's alpha ecu'd beta accent did a best opf 16.2 on the MIR dragstrip.
and he didn't even bother chirping his tires..

yeah right....

my edead weigh's only 9 pounds..

i got 9 pound's all around my car..
hardly noticable..

man, i need to but some 99 civic si wheels from someone for cheap..

they're light, look better than the minuz's and they fit!

you should get the civic si alloys ryan, they look identical to the rages..only much lighter..

i'm throwing in the order for the ecu adapter in this week.
although it's a bit pricey..the power to cost ratio might best a set of I/H/E
costing twice the price.

once i get that installed, my car should have 140 ft LBs of torque for around the town driving..
and 138 HP for acceleration
