Default Strange overheating problem please help

Firstoff...
I have beta engine with 1.6 ecu in my LC.
I have changed the head gasket, checked the head for leaks at mechanic shop. Secondly, I swapped a beta radiator with the funs. While on road, the car overheats (at least the gauges shows this). I turn off the car, turn on the switch, the temp is in the middle. I whitch off and on , put the heater on and the gauge rises !! with the car shut off but the switch on. I then shut off and then on without the heater on, it shows middle temp.. I put the lights on, and here it goes all the way to the red without the engine running! I assume it has something to do with the temperature sender which I am using the beta's (beta1) water sensor.. any help? I'm going crazy here..

Kinda sounds like and electrical or sensor problem. Also consider changing your thermostat.

You have too much resitance somewhere in your temp sening circut. Consider cleaning the terminal on the temp sensor and tighting the screw, check the condition of the wire and plug, and check your voltage through that circuit.
