Im actually doing the same swap right now. Ive got the car (i also have a 01 accent) but Im wondering about transmission. Ive got the 00 betaI motor, but will they motor bolt up to the exsisting 5speed in the 99 accent?

You said you cut the driveshaft an 1inch shorter. did the transmission have to be moved? Oh yea, I also have a lightweight flywheel for the motor and a stage II clutch for the transmission... I orginally bought for the 01 but do you think it will work for the 99 as well?

the clutch is brand new along with the pressure plate, both the specified pieces for the swap, as i have helped a buddy with his tranny problems when his swapped accent was on the road.
