Default Swap Question!

I just got a used engine from a salvage yard for my 2000 hyundai accent. This engine has been stored for a while. It was sealed and stored in a dry warehouse.

I wanted to know if there is a list of "To do" things before this used engine is turned. What things should I do to prep this engine to ensure I don't damage any internal parts before starting this engine.

Thanks for your input!

I would take out the spark plugs and disconnect the coil from the ECU. I would put about a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder and crank it 3 times for about 20 seconds each crank ( so as not to overheat the starter ) to send oil to the bearings. Replace the plugs and reconnect the coil and you should be good to go. Also, remove the fuse from the fuel pump so that no gas is injected.
