what is why you should use the alpha cpu? the alpha doesn't have the tank pressure sensor and therefor doesn't throw a cel for it. the only way to run the beta CEL free without adding all the extra sensors is the use the 1.6 ecm. and to make this clear, the 1.6 ECM CAN RUN THE BETA WITHOUT A CEL

I will update my walkthrough with pics of the fuel pressure sensor and post the link here this weekend along with the CCV that had to be added.

nice, thanks

so, i tried to start it today...the starter just turned...and turned...and turned....

turns out, the ignition, injectors, CVVT system, PCV, and numerous other things that have that "after main relay" shit, need to have those wires connected to....who the fuck knows. not getting any spark or fuel. but so far, door chime, starter, and headlights are a go. just need to find out what the fuck that main relay shit is....

what i'm trying to say is that you should only use the 2.0 ecu for engine management and that is it...the accent ecu will still take care of the evap system....essentially you would be running two computers in the car.

and yes it will run and you will not get a CEL...but your not getting all of the power and your AFR are off.

FINISHED. With CVVT. Eat shit if you say CVVT swap can't be done.

Most of the interior is not put back together. It's loud. It's fast. I like it.

Looking very nice...
How much did it cost you total and how long did it take you?

Love the lights as well they DIY or the $200 black diamond lights from ebay?

Now for the big question...
Do you still have aircon??

Cheers

I put the motor in and gave up on the wiring. paid someone to do it and he was a genius for figuring it all out.

The lights are DIY, just pop out the moulding and painted it black.

Then...

I have the AC compressor on, and he wired it up to go, it just needs a relay and it should be good to go. I didn't ask for it since winter is coming up in the states and I don't need it. Also, I didn't want to pay all that money to recharge it completely. Next summer.
