Default Hyundai's expanding model line up strengthened by all-new Entourage Minivan

Name and Details of Hyundai's 2007 Minivan Disclosed at Automotive News Marketing Seminar

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., June 1 -- Hyundai Motor America President and CEO Robert F. Cosmai, speaking at the Automotive News Marketing Seminar in Los Angeles, announced that the next addition to Hyundai's growing model line up will be an all-new minivan named "Entourage." Entourage will be the fifth of seven all-new or redesigned vehicles offered by Hyundai in a new product blitz that started in October 2004 with the Tucson SUV. Entourage will reach dealers in the spring of 2006 as an '07 model year vehicle.

Entourage will extend Hyundai's product lineup into the minivan segment for the first time. Like the all-new '06 Sonata and Azera sedans, the Entourage will come standard with an impressive suite of safety equipment, including Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control, ABS with EBD, six standard airbags including side curtain airbags that provide protection for all three rows of passengers, and front active head restraints that protect against whiplash.

Entourage will be offered in a long-wheel base version only, and will be powered by the sophisticated new 3.8L V6 engine that is also found in the Hyundai Azera premium sedan.

Hyundai Motor America, headquartered in Fountain Valley, Calif. is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company of Korea. Hyundai cars and sport utility vehicles are distributed throughout the United States by Hyundai Motor America and are sold and serviced by more than 650 Hyundai dealerships nationwide.

I saw this on TCC the other day. I think it's a cool name for a minivan.

Also, the 3.8l Lambda has more power than the Sienna and Odyssey, and should have comparable gas mileage as well.

I hope that both the new Entourage and Sedona look much different than the current Sedona though.

The sedona is a big hit with many american families..

but it's definitely not something to challenge a odyssey or a caravan on a drag strip..

almost 13 second's for 0-60 and it was porky too..let's hope they do it right this time,

If Hyundai is going to the do the whole van thing to comepete with Chrysler/Dodge, Toyota, Nissan, and Honda...nobody cares about Ford vansX), they really need to do their research. They need to offer a exterior that makes a bold statement and continue that statement throughout the car. I know they have it down pat when it comes to the safety options...since Hyundai is pretty much making them all std equip now. But they need to offer lots of storage, entertainment, easy to use features, and a powertrain that would please the most stressed out soccer mom in a hurry.

Well the new Sedona/Carnival is being loaded up so I am sure since Hyundai is using that platform it will get similar stuff. A buddy of mine just bought an '05 a dn found out today the '06 is coming with "stow and go" seating so I am sure Hyundai will do an awesome job.
