Default New Dodge Caliber SRT

I ussually don't like Dodges and this one is no exception except for the reason that it uses Hyundai's 2.4L and it's been tuned up to output 235hp, so in my eyes at least this is a good thing as it gives owners of the Sonata with the 2.4 a chance to get some extra ponies out of there engines. Hopefully Dodge goes trough a production version has any tuning will be advantageous to all that use the new global 2.4L engine.

wow, a codeveloped hyundai/mitsu engine for a dodge? fun stuff!! but last i heard it would use the same engine as previous SRT4. this article looks a lil more promising.

The article says the Caliber will have 235 HP, which is nice, but the V6 Sonata also has exactly that much horsepower. The only way this will really benefit Sonata owners is that it'll be possible to get 235HP with a manual transmission.

On the other hand, though, it'll make a damn good swap for future Elantras (and Accents, I hope!) that will use the smaller-displacement Thetas.
