Default Hyundai unveils Accent hybrid

Hyundai unveils Accent hybrid

Hyundai has unveiled a hybrid version of its Accent at an exhibition in China. This features a version of its 90bhp 1.4-litre engine with variable valve timing teamed with a 16bhp electric motor; fuel savings of 44percent are claimed, though this is unlikely to boost the relatively thirsty Accent to much more than 45mpg. This Accent and its Kia Rio equivalent are expected to go on sale in the US late next year - with price tags under $20,000, making them the cheapest hybrids on sale so far.

real life driving most hyundai owners with the 1.5 experience 29-35 MPG, while the 1.6 liter people experience 28-33 or so MPG. Other cars with engines under 2.0 Liters experience aroud 40-45 mpg per EPA, so basically they are saying that for it's displacement hyundai does not produce as fuel efficient cars as makers like honda, or the VW diesel,. etc etc.

When calculating mine I got about 18-19 MPG. I drive with a lead foot, and AC on all the time.

Something is wrong with your car. I drive with a lead foot too and still get at the very least 32mpg combined.
