No, you are wrong about it being a transverse engine.
The piping is correct. Air flows through the air box on the left, to the turbo on the exhaust on the left side of the engine. It flows probably to the front of the car to an intercooler where it goes to the intake side of the engine on the right.
So, the engine is Longitudinal (not transverse) in a RWD position with the intake on the right and the turbo/exhaust on the left.
There is a good possibility that this is a very early test mule and the engine is not set in stone right now.
Also, I don't think this is the Genesis coupe. I think it's the next Tiburon. Looking at the proportions and especially the underhood shots (look at the distance between strut towers) it appears to be way too small to share a platform with a full size sedan like the Genesis.
It is a Theta, not a Beta. Look at the side the intake and exhaust is on. If it was mounted transversely the intake would be in front...like the Theta but unlike the Beta.
Turbo Theta...good for at least 300hp. In the Evo X it's gonna make over 400hp supposedly.
Even N/A Hyundai built the 200hp production ready Theta with performance tuned CVVT on intake and exhaust. I still have the PDF on that motor if anyone missed it I can email it to them.
Hell if it is going to share same block scheme of the evo x... we are in for some serious aftermarket well maybe not in the exhaust downpipe and intake department.

These parts are actually the easiest to tool for, and much of the tooiling already exists as well as in pretty good numbers. It depends what you want these parts to be made out of though, tooling for a SS DP is cheap, but the automated welding processes will be expensive as. Manual labour will be hard to QC.
Cast iron for the dump pipe is sounding good, in that its heavy as heck but its easliy the strongest option.
That said, I think I've found my new daily car, if this thing is ever released in Australia. Fook, fully sik dr1fting in t3h d4nd3$ ul3h!
