Default Window Tinit

Does anyone know any reliable window tint specialists in the Los Angeles area? I don't want to go get the windows of my new Tiburon done at some cheap place only to have it bubble and fade.

Also does anyone know the tint laws for CA? I have heard that you can tint the diver and passenger windows but only to a certain percentage...is this correct?

Actually tinting laws very drastically state to state. I'm guessing that Cali doesn't allow any kind of tinting on the front window... I did have a list of states and their laws...I'll have to see if I can find it again...

And look at this page for sure:

California = Front Side = No Tint Allowed...

Sorry dude...Indiana doesn't allow it either...but did that stop me? Of course not... <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

That is what I heard from a guy last year at the Cali. Truck Jamboree. He said they don't allow tint on the side windows b/c of the gangs or something. Might be wrong.

Tint on the front windshield is illegal in cali.

Front Side windows can be tinted, but only 80% (allow 80% of the light through), but only if offered as a "factory" option. (Basically if the cop can scratch the coating with a key, he knows it's aftermarket, and you get ticketed)

Side/rear windows can be tinted up to 5% (only allowing 5% of the light through). But I would never reccomend darker than 20% for a street driven car.
