Default 16", 17", or 18" ???

What rim size should I go with, I have the stock rims right now, i think those are 15", and they are TINY! I'm looking for rims, I think now I'm going to go with the Motegi MR-8's. The only problem is I dont know what size to get, what looks good on a tiburon, and what is the best for handleing? It seems 16" would still be a little small, and 18" would be nothing but rim, with just thin tires. So really I am just torn between 16" and 17", when picking out tires, what is the best size to get, I was thinking 205's but I hear that isnt the best for handleing, I hear that 195's are the way to go. I am also trying to keep the price down too, so consider that when replying. :smoking:

well i got 16's with yokaham avs es 100 205/45/16. the car handles like a dream now! the turns i use to squeel arround i can take at an extra 20mph with no squeeling at all. I thought 16's wouldn't do that good but they rock.

I would consider the 16" only because there is usually a decent difference in price when compared to the 17's, and not very different when looking at them. I was thinking about 17" Enkei Zeus, but have started to consider 16" because of the price. Not sure about the tires, but take solo-baric's proposal.

solo-baric, I wish you'd post pictures of your car...

At least go with 17 inch rims...the 16's are just too small, I have 18's on mine and I love them but I also have a bodykit and needed something bigger just make sure that you also get low profile tires. Check it out and veilsidetiburon.com-shannon

18's are too big for 4 bangers like ours
16's are the best size if you want the best performance on your car and you saw solo-baric car and the 16's really look like 17's
I have a Sonata and my car is much bigger then the Tib's in size and i'm still going to purchase 16's
Sure you'll look great with some 18's but you really wont be going any where; and on a side note, it does throw of your speedo a bit

with an Accent, I wouldn't go over 16"
I personally have 15" Tib fx rims on my car(you can see pics in my profile)
kustomaccent has 16" wheels on his car, and damn, it lools sweet
17's might fit, but you would be risking a lot of scrubbing, and might not be able to lower the car, mind you, with out all that extra sidewall the stock 13's give you, you will feel the bumps more, but I consider it a good trade off

Hey rngmstr... I just saw a set of your rims (chrome) sell on EBay yesterday for $560.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1873554385 - are those the same rims that you have? I would have bought them if I had the cash
