Default How much for a paint job?

I want my 00 Tiburon painted super glossy black. How much does a professional quality job usually cost?

Go to a auto paint shop and ask.

Using the MAACO scale, paint jobs can range from $99 for the ghetto special all the way up to House of Color style paint jobs which cost in the thousands. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend.

Don't want to hijack... but how much do those "show quality" paint jobs run? Or maybe not quite that nice, but something definitely out of the ordinary in the shine department that will turn heads.

I also don't want to hijack the post, I just wanted to throw in some info to give an idea of prices. I wrecked my car recently and it's getting repaired. The collision center was going to charge $778 (supplies & labor) to paint my hood, right fender, and front bumper. I told them not to paint it and I will take the money and get my entire car painted for that.

I know a guy in Nashville who is going to paint my car for $700 (b/c I know him), but he would usually charge $1000. The $1,000 would be to paint it factory Alpine White. All he is doing is a wet sand to remove the wax and clear coat so the white paint is visible, and he will then respray the entire car in factory Alpine White, followed by a clear coat.

From what I have been told it is so much more expensive to paint the car an entirely different color, because when they have to get the door and the engine and usually have to remove the engine to be able to paint the entire engine bay. Take into consideration that they'd have to do all that work, the price could easily get up there.

4 Words: Come...To...My...Shop

I do custom paint jobs for people and the only cost is for you to buy the paint. : Although lately, I've been charging an extra 500 for my time and labor since I'm so busy and booked with other peoples' projects. :hmmm:

If you want to see some of my work, check out one of my Photo Albums:

Visionz... I like your avatar. My friend has that same poster in his dorm room.
