Default Need help deciding...

Allright, I will be repainting my car completely as some of you know before the beginning of next show season... the car will remain blue, but I will have it done with HOUSE OF KOLORZ paint and will include some pearl, with tons of clear...

Now on my CF HOOD, I will have it painted like SUMMERS hood is, I've been waiting for someone to come out with a colored CF Hood, but I will not wait anymore I will have it done like I've been wanting even before I saw summers... now here's what I need, I would like to add a nice NOT OVERSIZE, not 2 LEVELS spoiler, and get rid of my stock spoiler... but IT HAS TO BE Carbon Fiber, so I can do the same treatment as I will do on the hood, that way they match, and everything will go with everything...

I need suggestions, of some nice spoilers that you would use taking all of this into consideration...

thanks

here's an example of the style I'm looking for... but this one as you see the sides are HUGE, and I don't like the brackets, it looks like it's not adjustable, so I can bring it lower...

That is the very spoiler I was going to suggest.

IMHO that thing is to big for our cars. the one i had before with different side plates would probably look good on your car. actually i have it for sale

naw but for real. i dont like that one. id say get a skinnier one. the veilside one is hot! but then again. i wouldnt wanna pay veilside money.

lol, na I'm not buying this one, I said, I LIKE this style, and I'm looking for something similar, but I meant the middle part, not the sides, or the brackets...

the veilside is nice, but I have seen one up close at HIN and it's too big still for me... and like you said, too much flow for a spoiler

Yeah dude..I was gonna say go with Veilsides spoiler. That Aerospeed one looks too big. Do you have any pics of that same spoiler on other cars?

BTW...good choice with paint. House Of Kolor is the absolute best. Unless you have a hook up (like me ), you're gonna pay a good penny for it, especially since you're getting pearl added to the clear, but the paint will look absolutely amazing for years to come. Since you're spraying the CF, make sure the shop that's doing it doesn't add Urethane primer. Those types of primers don't like CF very well and will make the paint wrinkle once the baking process starts. Also, since you're using high qaulity paint like H.O.K. I sure hope the shop IS baking the paint and not letting it dry in a standard drying booth.

Anyway, good luck. Sounds like it's gonna be pretty sweet when you're done. :

Yuri...I take it you never got the email I sent. Your wheel chocks have been finished. : I sent the email to korecrewpres@aol.com on 11/26/2002.

Anyway, sure. I can get you a price on the paint. The only thing I need are paint codes (if you have them already) on the color, pearl, and clear. Also, I've never shipped paint before, so I don't know what's involved with that. But I can find out from my supplier. Just let me know what you want to do.

na man, I never got it, that sux, I could've used them, lol... oh well that's kewl, tell me how much and where to send it and this saturday I will paypal it to you, or mail a check whichever you prefer, thanks man... can't wait to see them...

Also on the paint codes, I'll let you know next year, right now I'm just doing all the research... that's why I need to start setting up my 2003 car budget... I don't want to spend more than 3k on the paint job, I've been quoted my prize, with new sponsor close to 4k, but if I can get the paint outside, I'm sure they will lower their shop prize big time, as they do want to do the work on the car...

OK, now back to spoilers, anyone else have any others

dear god, yuri. you have a shark spoiler, don't you? ok, granted i don't like the middle post. (i got one from erebuni for 290 shipped with an LED and no center post) but KEEP THAT ONE!!!! its the best looking spoiler that was made for 1st gens. IMHO don't get an aluminum or CF birdperch.

lol, yep, the problem with me, is that EVERY YEAR I want something new on the car, this year, I had the fiberglass system done, and the turbo, next year, I want the new paint, and with that will come a REAR SKIRT and REAR SPOILER with a new AMP FIBERGLASS SETUP... that will be all, not including the internals I will be working on... but that won't be till after NOPI of next year... but everything else will be before NOPI...

I have had the shark spoiler since 1998 now, and for 5 years, that's a long time for me not to change it, and the reason I haven't is cause I TOO think it's the best looking spoiler, but stuff like color matching the CF to the hood, makes those wings look better, and makes the car more classier and cleaner... don't worry I will never rice out my car... just need to change it a little
