Default Screening??

When i install my headlights im going to redo my grill on my kit. I want to get samller holes and dark black so you cant see through the screen as much. When i was at home depot. the other day i was wondering if you can use standard house screening black stuff on the car. To cover the big mouth and vents on the front bumper. Mostly becuase i want to ot be able to see in to the car as much as you can now.

that's a good idea... nice and black... not semi see-through.... I think I may do the same... I don't think it would black any air though.. or MUCH anyways

let me know how it works out

I have a metal mesh on my car, it came in rust proof silver, but I painted it black and it looks great....even at different angles you can't really see behind the mesh....

the holes in teh mesh are like 1/4" x 1/4" maybe even a little smaller. Took me about 30 minutes to do the upper grill and the fog lamp areas....all mine are moulded too...so they are flush with the flow of the bumper when you look at it.

Here are some pics:

The top pic: most recent frontal shot (but in partial shade, sorry).
The middle pic: the mesh looks wierd because it's still wet from washing the car.
The bottom pics: before I put mesh in, and before I painted the mesh black.

Is this mesh similar to how the wrx's have those sti fog light covers. It sorta looks like a comp or house speaker grill cover its metal with tons of tiny pinholes in it ??

no...and yes....it is like the screening for a window or door....but it's metal and the holes are about 3x as big....I'll get some up close shots in the daylight.....8D
