It depends on what you're looking for. If you're changing colors DONT DO IT! If you're planning on keeping the car a few years DONT DO IT! Basically what they do is mask everything off, wetsand the clearcoat and spray the car. That's why they can turn a car around within one day. They also won't fix dents or remove and emblems unless you ask and then they charge you. I've also heard from a few friends the paint starts to chip after a year and I don't believe they use a flex agent on the plastice parts of your car (IE bumpers and side skirts)

Yea, what "The Joker" said. Can't speak on the chipping cuz I only had my car painted for about a month. They dont rub it out either. Got all kinds of orange peel on my car.

what does Maaco charge though? I was thinking about it if I get too lazy to do it myself.

What if I prime it first? :ermm:

or just get the bumpers painted?

Maaco is crap. I did all my body work (priming, sanding, etc) and took it to them. They did such a bad job on fixing some of the work i did, I swear I will never take my car to them ever again.

Best place to get paint done is your local paint shop, or you can take your car Auto Techniks in Thornhill, ON and talk to Lawrence.

Hope this helps.

my friend recently got one, it doesn't look bad but there are a few mess ups here and there and they don't wet sand at all. i personally wouldn't get it done but it is cheap if you want a paint job and don't care what it looks like. just don't think youw ill get a show quality finish.
