I could be mistaken, but is that picture (found in elantra forum) of the guages, those needles. Are they the glow needle kits? Does anyone have any of these? I'm interested in the blue ones if anyone has any pictures of them or has them or seen em. How do they look? How hard to install? They worth the money?
alright, i may be mistaken here as well, but those are obviously Indiglo Gauges, and the needles are lit up by Red bulbs behind the gauges, I believe. The reason I say this, is because there are red halos behind each needle center.
Of course, I could be wrong, but if you found the pic in the Elantra forum, why don't you just ask the guy who's car it is.
I've seen the needle kits on ebay, and I think they're a total scam, because I emailed the guy, and asked him to give me a picture of the product that I would be buying, and he refused. I just said, whatever, I'm not spending $40+ for some crap.
Hmmm...someone should do a DIY for this...seems rather cheap...or maybe I'm an idiot? :dead:
Besides...the color of the needles are red/orange...and of course, the light behind the needle illuminates the color as red/orange, during the night...I'm guessing the gauge needles would need to be made a certain color, from a translucent plastic...but I like the look of the red needles on the blue. I mean...sure...blue on blue would be cool...but the stock needles aren't bad. Would be nice if someone knew how to do the DIY for this. :

...I think it time to blow this scene...get everybody and their stuff together. Ok, 3, 2, 1, let's jam!...
They are not the intelli bullshit needdles I just used red light bulbs to get the odometer to look red and to minimize the halo effect.I did not want to ruin the indiglo effect
Hmmm...doesn't look too complicated...now...someone please correct me if I'm wrong...since the gauges are supposedly "colored", I'm guessing, using an exacto knife would do..so you scrape of the paint from the gauge needles...and then...paint it a white/fluorescent blue...or whatever color you want them...and voila...however...I dunno about the bulb behind the needle...so...if the bulb behind the needle is like...red...then I guess you replace it with the color of your choice...if it's white...then I think you're all set....but someone correct me if I'm wrong...about the bulb behind the gauge needle!
