Default RD tail light alteration

Im trading my RD2 for an RD. Along with everything I want to do, I wonder if this can be done as well.

Im not sure what the housing looks like inside, wheather or not the top area is hollow. If not, is it possible to run fiber optics through it to illuminate it? I think this would look awesome! What about also having both the blinkers and reverse light areas light up red, and when the turn signal is engaged, it blinks off insead of on (i know some cars have this like the corvette) and when the reverse light is engaged, it switches from the red to white light. It should be possible, but im not very experienced with the electrical system.

Anyways, remember, heres stock.

soon as I get my new tails from Blacktibs, I am altering them with LEDs.. I never cared for the little "arrow" effect the rd tails have.. so I was just going "cut" it out of the regular tail lights, but let it light up when I hit the brakes...

you MIGHT be able to do what you wanted with LEDs.. there might be enough room along the top of the lamp to squeaze a row in there... and with the turnsignals.. you can mix red and white on the same board but hooked to different power sources so that the white only light up when you engage reverse.
