damn.

i saw this post when you posted it and i STILL just cant see how anyone can spend $1000 on rims that are street driven. on an $11,000 car nonetheless.

ill bet they look really bling bling on j00r ride man. so long as you are happy with them i guess.

Rims and Tyres on my car cost about 900 three years ago... this year I put 600 alone in tyres on my car.

yeah i bought my rims used and theyre not mint but with tires they were $250 and $350 after shipping. ive now purchased summitomo HTR200's for like $250, plus winter tires in the 13's ive spent about $80 total on those. ive had my car 2 years now and now has 2 sets of rims and i still havent spent $700.

but like i said they do look better than mine. i guess maybe if i had $1000 to spend on rims i would. but i would also have to have about $100,000 more for everything else that i would consider buying before i could justify 1g on rims/tires.

again- if youre happy with your purchase then all the power to you.

Mine actually look quite stock... but besides, here is a point. The whole attitude of "it is only a 11,000 car" really gets me. We went through that a while ago with the Fiats and Lancias... but now there are quite a few good looking ones on the road. Basically, if you limit yoruself to "it is a cheap car, I do not want to put money into it" attitude.. you are never going to get anyway. Cars are BAD investments.. modded cars even more so. You did redeem yourself at the end though.. because it does make me happy... and that my friend, is the whole point I mod cars.. I enjoy it!
