Im looking to redo my interior plastic trim (dash, door panels...etc) in red but paint is not turning out well due to the fact it doesnt stick well. I am curious as to what other people have tried, or if someone molds them outta fiberglass. Thanks!

This help's the paint and the primere to bite the Plastic when painted,
and if you're gonna repaint, Wipe ythe sanded panel with alcohol or soap and water to make sure the sanded dust is washed away,
If it still flake's off, Just Buy some graphite Sheet vinyl's and use that instead,

Yeah its hilarious what I used to paint them with, I used that Krylon plastic paint. It actually came out pretty well except when I did the clear coat the paint lifted. When spring roles around I will probably just repaint it with auto-paint w/ clear.

Actually, I would say Krylon paint is one of the best you can buy, me and a buddy of mine did out whole dash and interiour panels in Krylon paint (Actually Krylon Fusion) and it turned out very nice, no pealing after the clear coat or anything, very durable to.
I can't use Krylon.. something in their mix that makes deathly ill... I have been working on the driver's door panal recently (bought another one on ebay) and I have been spraying it once a day with a light coat of Plasticoat CC9099 touch up paint.. almost an EXACT match for the dark green of my car. I think this weekend I am going to hit it with some sand, lay down a few more coats, sand, and then finally clear coat it sometime before dec. Just taking my time and doing it right.

i might as well just use the krylon fusion as a pre primer, sand it then prime it then use regular auto paint. i mean, seeing how i have my entire interior krylon fusion red. it did work well, i just really suck at spray painting apparently. its too cold to mess with it now though.
