The thing about doing up your car is pretty much all in the eyes of the beholder. Some people prefer to have a stock look, but lots of engine mods, while others want their cars to look good and don’t care too much about performance. You really need to sit down and weigh out your options on paper. Think about what car has now, and what you want to have down the road. Set realistic goals for yourself and do everything you can to try and achieve them. You also need a battle plan. You need to think of what things you can do now and how much money you want to spend. Set yourself a budget and time line of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, etc… and go from there.
Obviously some mods are going to cost a lot more than others. You need to think it over and see if you want to do one big thing now, or multiple small things at once. As far as making a decision on what should be done, that’s all up to you. Remember…there might be a set of rims or a body kit out there that you particularly like, but others might think are hideous. You build your car for yourself and for yourself only. No one else. So always remember to do things that you like. If it means doing something that is unique and rare and no one else likes it…then too bad. You’re the only person that can truly judge the way your car is and live with it.
There are A LOT of companies out there that can give you everything that you want, performance wise and appearance wise. And if you don’t find what you’re looking for specifically, there’s always a shop out there that will build or design what you want exactly. It all just comes back to when you want it done, and how much of a budget you have. And naturally of course, you have these forums to focus your questions on, and a lot of members are here to help out in any way they can.
Good luck in your quest for building the car that fits your personality (because after all…our cars are who we are as individuals) and if you have any other questions, the members and this forum are here to answer and get you what you need.
