Default Stupid Paint!

Ok,
here is the deal, I am am little pissed so please forgive me if I seem to be a bit "hostile" just to avoid any past problems....

(I know I am a smart a$$ sometimes...
)

Anyway,
My neighbor came over to my Condo yesterday and appologized for getting some (Freakin') RED PAINT on my SILVER/GREY baby.

I was in shock!

He said that his car was just repainted, and when he opened his door next to my car, it got paint on it.

It's not big or anything, but I know that it is there.......

He said that he would pay for it to be fixed. I'm too nice and said that I would see what I could do about it first. He made me promise to tell him if I couldn't get it off myself.

Here is my question......
Does anyone have any ideas of how I can safely get the red paint off of my car with out screwing it up????

Please give me your suggestions...
Thanks.

Try waxing it. That should do it.

Just one thing though. He opened the door and got paint on your car....So he was driving the car while it was still wet!? Hes gonna have runs in the paint and dirt and shit will stick to it. Not to smart on his part and even more so on the body shop that painted it. Now, more so then having red paint on your car, I'd check to see if he dinged the side of it when he hit his car door on the side of yours. Then you will have the door ding and paint removed at his expense. Good thing he's a nice neighbor though. I try to avoid those things by parking in the last spot in the parking lot all the way at the end, or park diagonally. Thankfully, I have a driveway and I don't have to worry about things like that and a garage if worse comes to worse. You should see all the dings in my friends cars. The body on my 96 Jeep cherokee with 120,000 miles on it has no dings compared to my friends 99 honda accord which is dinged to hell cause he parks in the closest spot. Just goes to show ya

I eat Honda Civics for breakfast, Toyota Corollas for lunch, and Volkswagen Jettas for dinner

Well if all else fails you can try polishing compound, not rubbing compound (too harsh). Use just a litte bit and take your time, that should do the trick.

You can probably do it yourself but take it into a professional detailer since he is paying for it. This way it gets detailed for free.
