(Here is an expiriment) jack up the front of your car place jack stand so that the front of the car is in the air. Now open your doors (keep window up.... now try to close them (if you break your glass thats your own fault) RD chassis is very flexible take that roof out and your screwed. If somehow your doors shut maybe my car just sucks.

well, i figure that when i get my roll cage (still debating, but leaning toward not doing it) put in it can help with the load a bit. i have a guy in the area who is willin3g to do the work, as well as with the chassis. i may make it a t-top...aka, not targa, but the middle strut. i love mysunroof, but i want more. i don't really think an exposed roll cage and a targa top will look so hot. but i do have an 03 gt tib and i photoshopped it and i actually liked how it looked. its just that im at a time right now, now that i have a supra, that i want my tibby to be my 'sexy work of art' car and my supra be my racing car. im not making a show car, but a car that i love to be in, since im in it like twelve hours a day delivering effin sandwiches. i appreciate all your points and input though.

That looks stupid. it would look better as a T-Top. But then the C-Pillar is too thick. Loose the back windows and curve the remaining enclave out, and it would look proper.

I wanna see a convertible accent but as far as the OP goes...great idea but you'll definetly need a lot of reinforcements welded in. These cars are basically cake pans with a body welded on top...in other words they do enjoy flexing.

haha i once saw one of the older generation civics that someone had chopped into a convertible. and by chopped, i mean chopped. it honestly looked hacksawed off but if at been cleaned up it actually wouldn't have looked half bad, except when it breaks in two goings 45 down the road....if you do anything like this make sure you reinforce the rest of the frame.
