Default Bodywork

I own a slate gray 2000 Hyundai Elantra and am curious about how much bodywork would be to repair dents in the vehicle. I have three door dings, two on the driver side and one on the passenger side door, and several dents on the hood and roof from acorns and other tree debris falling on the car. Approximately how much do you think this will cost me to have it all repaired? Is it worth it? The thing that makes me the most angry is I park extremely far away from people in the parking lot and cars still seem to find me and one night under an oak tree makes my car look terrible.

Well, my first bet would be to try places that do paintless dent removal. That way, they can pop the dent out and you don't need to repaint anything. That would probably work on the dings for the roof and hood. If not, then what the shop would have to do is either pop the dent out depending how big it is or use body filler to fill it in. Then they have to repaint the whole area. I would say about $500 or so per door if you want a quality job done.

Default Re: Bodywork

Hay i got 4 small dents removed from my coupe in the door and sides from people opening their doors.
Cost me $150 New Zealand dollars . Paintless dent removal, and he came to me in his van...

Any way make sure you remove the inside door panels, roof etc ..what ever... as they need to get to the metal if i had known i would of done this myself as i don't trust any one with my car.

They push the dent out from the inside of your car.

If the dent is close to a strong point like the edge of your door or window beam it can't be done. this i asked. other wise it needs to be panel beated etc.

I think thats all i can help you with.
