I'm pretty sure you just answered it. He probibially killed it. He probibially grounded the power and powered the ground in both pieces causing then to go poof... bye bye... Fixable maybe but most likly not .. :embarrassed:
best thing he can do (considering your ethics) is for your friend to go buy another new battery, and have someplace install it (i think autozone installs new batterys) and then say that when they installed the new battery, everything broke...complain enough and autozone MAY replace what "they" broke.

That's actually pretty sh!tty... I could only imagine how many irate customers that they have to deal with legitimate complaints.
i asked about the fuses and got no answer, so here it is. the amp is normally wired to the radio for the purpose of turning it on or off. if the radio isn't getting power the amp won't come on. most newer radios have a fuse on the back of the radio. pull the radio out and check it. the amp should have a fuse on the power line from the battery somewhere near the battery and on the amp itself. the only problems with these thoughts is that 1. if your "friend" can't hook-up a battery, he shoulnd't be removing a radio! and 2. if the radio and amp don't have a fuse, they are "most-likly" so getto that they needed to be replaced anyways!:dead:

I am not supposed to flame newbies but since I work in the retail field and have to deal with sh!theads like you, I will make an exception.
You do realize that doing something as sh!tty as this could cause someone to lose their job?
Kharma always comes around and you are due for some bad kharma for even suggesting a sh!tty trick like that.

NEW INFO.!! lol My dumba$$ friend did hook the battery up wrong, he blew 4 fuses,. What a jacka$$ one to the stereo, one to the EQ, one to each of the 2 amps. All i could do was left at him. i was like your fuct now. thanks for the reply, after heliodoc's suggestion we cheched the fuses and thats what it was. As for paltask14c it sounds like a good idea but it would be wrong if somebody lost their job, i dont think i would do that.
